We start by discussing why values are essential - not only to drive culture but also to bring alignment and clarity to our work. Values give us a compass to navigate challenges and a shared sense of purpose that energises our efforts.
Patrick Lencioni’s insight sets the tone for today: when we get everyone rowing in the same direction, we can achieve anything. This workshop is about more than just defining company values—it’s about creating a culture where each individual feels connected, aligned, and excited to contribute to something greater.
Throughout the day, we’ll be living the values of fun, laughter, and energy. There will be lots of movement and opportunities to connect - our goal is for you to walk out of this session closer as a team than when you walked in. Through engaging activities, everyone will be encouraged to bond in new ways, making the experience enjoyable while fostering deep collaboration.
Workshop Phases
Each participant begins by discovering and sharing their personal core values. By doing this, we understand what drives each individual, creating a solid foundation upon which we can build collective values. This personal reflection is key -values that start from the heart are the ones that truly resonate and stick.
We then move to group activities, combining individual values into categories and creating overarching themes that represent us as a company. This process is inclusive and interactive, with the aim of building company-wide values that everyone agrees on and feels committed to.
Next, teams will work together to create theme posters that articulate the selected company values. Each value will be represented by positive “We” statements - capturing how we want these values to be visible in our daily actions - whether by our colleagues, customers, or partners. These statements will also include a “Why?” so we stay focused on the bigger picture.
Participants will then create “I Will” action steps - personal commitments that outline how they’ll start integrating the agreed values into their everyday work. These are concrete actions that can be implemented from day one, ensuring immediate application and accountability.
We end the day with a discussion on how to embed these values in everything we do - from meetings to day-to-day interactions. We’ll brainstorm ways to make the values a natural part of our culture, keeping them alive and thriving. The goal is for these values to not just exist but to guide us, especially during challenging times, helping us align our actions and ultimately bring our culture to life.
